LOS ANGELES, CA – Tule Fog Productions LLC, creator of The Battalion Series (www.thebattalion.tv), and FireRescue1, one of the leading online resources for firefighters, today announced they have formed a partnership that will bring original webisodes of The Battalion to FireRescue1’s audience of firefighting professionals.

The partnership brings The Battalion, an original online series that vividly chronicles the daily lives and issues of firefighters in San Francisco and Washington D.C., to the FireRescue1 Network of web sites, visited by 350,000 firefighting professionals each month.

“I am very excited about our partnership with FireRescue1.com, a company with which we share the same vision and understanding about where viral video is going,” said David Furtado, executive producer, Tule Fog Productions.  “Coupled with our deals with Tivo and YouTube, we will soon be easily available on viewers’ televisions without having to view on their computers or downloading to all of their devices.”

As part of the partnership, Tule Fog Productions LLC will provide FireRescue1 with 12 webisodes to run on FireRescue1.com and FlashoverTV.com — six from the San Francisco series and six from the Washington, D.C. series. The segments will be featured in a number of prominent areas on FireRescue1.com and FlashoverTV.com, the first online video community for firefighters. In return, FireRescue1 will provide widespread exposure for TheBattalion.TV across its network of firefighting web sites.

”We are thrilled to be able to provide our members with relevant, high-quality video content that documents the realities of firefighting,” said Jon Hughes, Online Director for FireRescue1.com. “The Battalion is at the forefront of online reality programming, and the series’ mission of bringing exposure to the realities of the American fire service fits very well with our mission of providing firefighters with the best quality resources to help them learn and stay safe.”

“My goal with TheBattalion.TV to open the eyes of America so that they will realize that firefighters play a major role in protecting our nation,” added Furtado.  “It is unjust that last year alone the budget for U.S. fire departments was cut once again.”
